Potty Time!!!

After a little bit of PeePee on the carpet (no big deal) Colleen went peepee in the potty!!! Time for ice cream after lunch!!!

Here is some video of Colleen playing basketball. We got this little hoop last summer so she would have something active to do inside. When we first got it she had to have it all the way down so the hoop was level with the red ring on the neck of the hoop. Now she has is on the 4th level up, which is a good 12 inches above where she started out! She had made 4-5 shots in a row before I ran to get the camera, so she's getting tired!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

We've had a very busy week. Most morning are taken up by going to the gym, and between errands, naptimes, meals, and baths there isn't much time for anything. Monday was our 3rd Aniversary and we actually celebrated the previous Saturday with take-out from Outback. It was a combo Father's Day/Anniversary Dinner since Dan had to work both of those days. Curb-side is the best thing ever! You get to have the great meal, but without the hassle of having to deal with 2 little girls and waiting at the resturant. We aren't the type to get a babysitter...they are so important to us that we always want to be with them. Since the girls actually go to sleep at 8 we have time to ourselves. Brighit is sitting up in her little Bumbo and Colleen is as cute as ever. I will TRY to get pics downloaded tomorrow. I am in the final day of one class and the first in another, so I've got last minute and new things to do, besides all the house/normal stuff to do. 

Off to maybe do some reading for my Coaching class before Dan gets home from work.

Here is Brighit grabbing her Lion. She is getting stronger every day! She can sit up in her Bumbo chair (picture to come tomorrow) for a short period of time and be totally happy! She is just getting so much more awesome every day! That's Colleen and I talking in the background. Sorry it is sideways, I don't know how to fix it.

Colleen has been more and more interested in the potty lately and is even sitting on it on her little Dora potty seat. I decided that the time has come to switch from diapers to "potty pants" that is what I call pull-ups and training pants. She's gonna wear the reusable training pants at home and then she'll wear the pull-ups when we go out and at bedtime.  Then she will eventually wear the training pants all the time. Hopefully she will take to it, if not that's ok I'll just try again later on. It will be sooo nice when we are only having to buy diapers for one little girl...they are sooo expensive. 

That's all, not much going on here otherwise. Dan had to work so we did Father's Day last night and this morning and it was fun. 

Chalk and Markers oh MY!

Everyone seemed to get up extra early this morning so since it was a Saturday I decided that we should go yardsaleing. A friend had told me that her whole neighborhood was having one, and then Dan drove by one on his way to work that he told me about. We went to that one first and found the only deal of the day. It is a children's easel with a chalkboard on one side and a dry erase board on the other!! It originally said it was $22 but I talked the lady down to $15. Colleen LOVES to draw with chalk outside so this is the next best thing and we don't have to be out in the heat to do it! She of course got covered in chalk, but not too much in Marker. Check out her masterpieces...

I think I took some more pictures, or if not I know that I will take more of the artist at work. Tomorrow I'll post a little video of Brighit that I took today. She's grasping a toy of her bouncy seat that she hadn't been able to grasp yet....too cute and we are soo proud of her!

Hot Hot days!

Well it looks like summer is upon with the 90 degree weather and the high heat. We haven't done much the past couple of days because of that. Brighit is doing great. She sometimes sleeps all night, sometimes she gets up around 3 or 4, not too bad for a 3 month old! Here's Colleen in her jammies after dinner last night.

Brighit Giggled!

The girls get a bath every night. If I'm by myself it's done seperately, if Dan's home we do them at the same time. As I was washing Brighit's tummy last night she giggled and was smiling so big! This is the first giggle that she has done and it was so awesome! Colleen had been putting bubbles on her tummy, so this might have been part of it. Brighit loves to watch Colleen and always smiles when she does! This pictures is from a previous bath, not from last night.

Colleen loves to build with her blocks and she does a great job! I promise that I had nothing to do with this tower that she built! She does a really good job at balancing the blocks.

Hello everyone!

For one of my Graduate classes an assignment is to create a blog. It doesn't matter what the subject, just a blog. So I thought that since so many of our family members live all over the country that I would make a blog with the goings on of Colleen and Brighit. I'll post some pictures and some awesome milestones and other things the girls are doing. Naptime is apparently over so I will be back later with more!
